A 2X reduction in order processing time: HODAGRI’s success with HandiFox

House of Development for Agricultural Contracting Co. (HODAGRI) is Kuweit’s leading agricultural and veterinary contractor company, founded in 1989. “A major partner in the beautification and sustainable greening of Kuwait," HODAGRI has expanded into multiple business areas over the years. Currently, the multi-faceted business has 3 divisions, all seeing a significant demand: landscape and irrigation contracting, a chain of veterinary clinics, and an online store for pet products and plants.

Out of the three business parts, the agricultural division warranted streamlined inventory management processes more than the others. The company’s business advisors, Elevate, recognized the need and set out to evaluate available solutions.

HODAGRI's day-to-day inventory challenges

Like most small businesses managing inventory, HODAGRI attempted to handle the problem of inventory management automation solely through QuickBooks Online. The process was by and large manual and took too much time while compromising the accuracy of inventory records.

Given multiple storage sites and a sales team, QuickBooks couldn’t provide for their business needs. The advising booking company turned its sights towards dedicated inventory software. HODAGRI was looking to automate processes like inventory intake, counting, order fulfillment, and field sales for an inventory of 300 SKUs and a sales team on the go.

Implementing HandiFox

The bookkeeping team at Elevate implemented HandiFox Online for HODAGRI a little over a year ago to bolster the client’s operational expansion. As HODAGRI started to set up new storage facilities to scale its business, it became evident that HandiFox’s automated inventory tracking system was paramount to improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. 

Among the criteria for short-listed inventory software solutions, these were key:

HODAGRI transitioned to HandiFox Online in two weeks. Diia Elesawi, the company’s bookkeeping advisor who was guiding the client through the transition, emphasizes that the training, adoption, and technical support were frictionless and didn’t affect the company’s operational time much.
