Version 6.11.0.0:

Features & Improvements:

  • Synchronization schedule for mobile devices: now the user can set up a synchronization schedule for each mobile device. Here is how it works:

    The manager sets up a synchronization schedule for each device in the Handheld Device Manager window on the desktop. The synchronization can occur once a day at a certain time or every 1-12 hours.

    The device will be synchronized automatically according to the schedule. In case the user is working with the customer and entering the data at the moment, they can delay the synchronization by 5 minutes.

    If the application is removed from the list of running apps by the user or by the system, the automatic sync will not happen.

    The automatic sync won't occur, if the user logs out of the application. Please make sure that the sync schedule does not conflict with application timeout.

  • The warning message will be shown to the user if the items were merged in QuickBooks and could not be correctly handled in HandiFox. Now the user can check items in QuickBooks and HandiFox in the Check Items window and resolve merging issues manually
  • We have created a new report for Sales Orders on the device (in the Admin-> Reports section). Sales Orders were removed from Sales report.
  • Now the user can sort the list of Bin locations by QOH values in the QOH Viewer window on the device. It can be done by clicking on the QOH column header. By default the list is sorted by QOH values in descending order.
  • We have added the "Look for Number" field to the PO Center window for quick search.

Fixes:

  • The issue with 5-line addresses not being uploaded to QuickBooks is partially fixed. The issue cannot be fixed completely as it is caused by a QuickBooks SDK problem.
  • The refnumber for local transfers sometimes does not increment
  • The user was not able to save Item Receipt, if the received quantity for any item was zero
  • Bin locations deleted in QuickBooks were still shown on the mobile device.
  • Balance for the customer on the device was incorrect, if the Credit Memo applied to Invoice was deleted in QuickBooks.
  • QOH for items became incorrect, if the QuickBooks connection was shut down while applying a counting session
  • The Sales Tax field in customized Sales Order and Invoice report templates were extended to contain all necessary information

Version 6.10.0.0:

Features & Improvements:

  • Now HandiFox supports items of Discount, Subtotal, Other Charge and Non-Inventory types. The user can create transactions with such items on the mobile device.
  • The Handheld Device manager will show the date and time of the last synchronization for each device
  • The Inventory Adjustment applied on the mobile device can be printed from desktop from Counting Sessions window
  • Added Email/Fax option for the text reports (when the Printer Language is set to other)

Fixes:

  • For some customized reports the additional empty page was printed. To fix this issues please create the new report from the default one and customize it as required
  • The user was able to enter more then 11 characters into Refnumber field of Local Transfer. This caused errors during synchronization with QuickBooks
  • If the name of the item is too long, it was not fully displayed in the Inventory Counting window

Version 6.9.8.0:

Features & Improvements:

  • When the user wants to receive partially received Puchase Order he now has two options: Edit existing Item Receipt or create the new one
  • Now the user can specify Bin locations for component items while building an assembly items.
  • Changed the way the invoice report is printed: Now the user can print the report with Customer Signature only after invoice is already saved. For those customers who still need to print the report before it is saved there is an option in Admin -> Settings -> Layout Settings

Fixes:

  • Invoices created at Closing date (the same date) cannot be uploaded to QuickBooks if they are paid on the handheld

Version 6.9.7.0:

Features & Improvements:

  • Support for GS1 barcode standards. Now HandiFox can read GS1 barcodes and take all necessary information from them. For example you can have one barcode label for the item which contains item code, serial / lot number, quantity/weight, etc. HandiFox will parse all these data and enter them into transaction if you scan such barcode. Please contact us at support@handifox.com if you have questions about GS1 barcodes and want to use them.

Fixes:

  • The user was able to change price for the items in Sales Receipt without appropriate permission in the User Manager on the desktop

Version 6.9.4.0:

Features & Improvements:

  • In order to provide our customers with more flexibility in using lot numbers we have added the ability to specify several lot numbers for the same items in the Pick Order and Receive items windows. Here is the description of how to do it:
    Open the Pick Order window, and perform long click on the item.
    You will see the context menu for the selected item. Select Edit option, the Edit item window will appear

    In this window you can add lot numbers by clicking the ‘Tap here to add line’ button
    For each lot number you should specify the picked quantity. When you get back to the Pick Order window, the picked quantity will be updated automatically.

    The same procedure is used in the Receive Items window.
  • Another improvement is the big refactoring that we did for the Inventory Counting process to fix existing issues and other possible errors that can appear while working with Inventory Adjustments in HandiFox and QuickBooks. There are no changes in the user interface.

Version 6.8.5.2:

Features & Improvements:

  • Added the ability to Pick/Pack invoices that are already paid. Now the user can pick and pack such invoices on the device and do not worry about payments that are already applied to invoices, customer balances will be correctly updated if any items are not packed.
    To enable pick/pack functionality for paid invoices go to File ->HandiFox™ -> Settings and check 'Paid Invoices not older than' option.

Features & Improvements:

  • The “Quick Transfer” feature. It allows the handheld user to quickly transfer inventory between inventory sites without asking a manager or other coworker to create the associated Fill or Receive transfer.

Note: Quick Transfer feature is not yet available if “Track Bin Locations” option is enabled in QuickBooks

  • New Credit Memos window. This window contains all Credit Memos created on the device for the selected customer since the last synchronization.
  • Added the additional user permission to restrict user access to the Admin section.
  • Item description is displayed for each item in the line in the Find/Add window.
  • The description of the item can be shown right under the item name in the Sales Order/Invoice windows .

Note: This feature is not available if “Track Bin Locations” option is enabled in QuickBooks

  • The user can disable the Back button on the Customer Signature screen.
  • Barcode scanning feature was added to Build Assembly window.
  • Description column was added to the Barcodes list report printed from the Barcode List window.

Fixes:

  • Fixed some crashes in the P.O.Center, Find/Add, Inventory Counting and Fill Transfer windows. Also fixed the crash that occurred on devices that don’t support Google Maps or Voice Input.
  • Fixed some issues, that can cause duplicate Invoice transactions created on the handheld.
  • Fixed the issue with mobile users being able to edit item rates even without the appropriate permission
  • Fixed barcode previews not being correctly displayed on Android 5

Version 6.8.4.2 Android:

  • Fixed the calculation of quantity On Purchase Orders and Quantity On Hand if the item is deleted from the Purchase Orders and Invoice transactions respectively.

  • Added 2 extra database backup. Now the backup copy of the main database will be automatically created every first day of month and during HandiFox™ uninstall process.
  • The date format was changed in all dropdown calendars to dd-MMM-yy.
  • Improved the export and import feature. All signatures for unpaid invoices are exported/imported.

  • Support English(UK) and English (Canada) regional standards. The date is shown depending on selected date format on the desktop and on the device.
  • If the HandiFox™ is installed on the desktop, the user can find it’s IP address using “Find Host” button in the Synchronization window on the device and select this IP to synchronize with the QuickBooks.
  • The version number of HandiFox™ is shown in the login screen
  • Added the “Direction to install on a mobile device” menu item to the HandiFox™ Start menu, HandiFox™ menu in the QuickBooks and to the HandiFox™ System Monitor in tray. Clicking on this menu item the user can open the help page, which shows how to download and install the application on a mobile device.
  • Import barcodes of items and bins from csv format
  • The ability to create Build Assembly even if there is no sufficient quantity on hand for the component items.
  • The system does not allow changing the Invoices with a date that is on or before the closing date on the device.
  • If the application for scanning the barcodes with built-in camera is not installed, the system offers to download it from Google Play

  • The ability to send reports by fax and email. Now user can send the reports to his customers right from the application by fax or email.
  • Improved Generate P.O. function. The Purchase Order can be generated based on the average sales per week for the items.

  • Compatibility with Advanced Inventory / Multiple Sites feature of QuickBooks. HandiFox™ can now not only manage its native setup of multiple inventory sites, but also seamlessly integrate with the sites already existing in QuickBooks. Note: Track Locations within Inventory Sites (row, shelf, or bin) feature from QuickBooks Advanced Inventory set is available in 6.8.0 version.
  • Several devices per mobile location. HandiFox™ system used to allow only one mobile device to be assigned to each mobile location. Now there is no such limitation anymore, so you have more choice in your working setup involving HandiFox™.
  • Picking and Packing for mobile locations. Now you are able to Pick and Pack goods on mobile locations, just as on Main.
  • Quicker initialization. In this version we keep reducing the amount of data downloaded from QuickBooks during initial data loading, which results in a shorter overall installation time, especially on large company files.
  • In the New/Edit Invoice window, QOH is now shown for items instead of SO No.
  • Improvements in Customer Center on Android: now you can view an address on map, or call the number specified for a customer.
  • Open Order filter for customers. Now it is possible to view only customers with open orders in the Customer Center on the mobile application.
  • Sync screen enhancement for Android: now you can add and select from multiple addresses for synchronization.

Fixes:

  • Support for merging items. Partial support for merging items has been implemented in this version. This means that the procedure of merging two items together in QuickBooks gets processed correctly by HandiFox™, without the danger of losing track of some data in certain cases. For now merging items is supported only for Inventory, Service and Assembly item types.
